 Patriots Wes Welker on PUP List |

The Patriots have placed wide receiver Wes Welker on the active/physically unable to perform list.
Welker, whose recovery from February surgery to repair a torn left ACL has been on schedule, can come off the list at any time.
It was reported earlier that Welker was fully cleared for training camp, but this may be an indication that the team's medical staff has yet to completely clear him

Jason Campbell will enter training camp as the starting quarterback of the Raiders.
Oakland coach Tom Cable confirmed the decision on Wednesday.
Bruce Gradkowski, who missed the last three months with a torn pectoral muscle, will be Oakland's backup.

Antonio Gates has caught a number of big passes for the Chargers, and on Wednesday he hauled in the biggest contract ever given to an NFL tight end, according to an Associated Press report.
Gates agreed to a $36.175M, five-year contract extension, with $20.4M guaranteed, according to a person familiar with the deal, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the figures weren’t released.

Bengals president Mike Brown confirmed his team's interest in free-agent wide receiver Terrell Owens on Monday.
"It's up to him," Brown said of Owens. "We are talking to him. We have some interest."
Brown said that quarterback Carson Palmer, who has been working with Owens in California, reported that the receiver "can still run
Owens and Johnson next to each other that would be interesting.
